Hey guys,

as you all know, the upgrade is scheduled to happen on Monday. Other than the downtime, there are a few other things you should expect.

For one, the templates / themes / styles (whatever you really wanna call it) will most likely be broken. Therefore, the very likely possibility is that I will revert to the default software template provided. Over the next few days after that, I will attempt to fix this issue, but it's not gonna be immediate.

As always, the cookies will be an issue. Log out, clear your cache / cookies, then log in again.

So, after 3 days of technical craziness (for me mainly), StoriesMania is finally fully operational once again. It heartens me to see that the new system is sitting there so pretty, and being the way I always wanted it to be - a great community central page with articles pulled from the database, widgets on the sides that show the most recent forum posts amongst many other things, and of course, all the other new features.

Was the money well-spent? Hell yeah. I am constantly thankful that I have great people who help me look after the site while I am busy navigating life. Add to that, the very fact that they willingly took money out of their own pockets to fund the upgrade makes me feel guilty sometimes that I've been neglecting the site in recent years. I still can't promise to be around, but I can promise to try my darn best.
