Thanks, Rick. I've been dropping in small bits already. I've got a couple more of these in the fire, but with different characters. I may eventually try to mesh them into a larger work, but for now they're stand-alones, although I do plan to link them somehow.
Film noir is what I had in mind, to bring back that detective/pulp fiction feel. I'll be using established characters from the Batman mythos while attempting to keep them true to their roots. My own characters will be just a little tarnished and not truly evil or corrupt.
If it does become a series I'd like to give it a different title, something more in keeping with the after hours style.
