Thank you. This was written for a workshop in children's literature two summers ago. I have since found, on doing more research, that the problem of prejudice described here between homeland Japanese and their ex-pats is very deep and of long standing, and I worried about the resolution of their problem being too easy or pat. So these two characters have aged up to about 17 (the problem of aging them when I already had such a vivd idea of them at age eleven was interesting, and I may write an essay about it), and it is now coming along as a draft YA novel.

The message above says "unregistered," but it's me. I have been having some problems getting thrown out of the log-in. Some one of the mods could delete it to save the space.
