Women and Men
If childhood were a revolution,
Then the protest is where I began.
Impress upon me evolution,
And change this boy into a man.
Give to me a shattered heart,
And I will put the pieces back into place.
I'll say a prayer that they never fall apart,
Unless that heart has fallen from grace.
Can you not recall from memory,
That day your soul turned from His eyes?
Have you not made Christ your remedy?
Why does your faith hide behind your cries?
To Calvary on that day He came,
And gave His life to cleanse our sin.
So that all who desire to bear His name,
Will one day become women and men.
Note from the Author- When I wrote this, I wanted to write a simple piece about the boys and girls, men and women, who struggle on their Christian walk. This was what my heart shared with me.
