My back is humped and I always wear coat tails.

I look pretty jolly with my fat and round body.
I'm the THIRD one to be counted.

Hello, my name is number FOUR,
I'm the friendly chap, who always waves his right hand.
I'm the FOURTH one to be counted.

Hello, my name is number FIVE,
Don't I look proud with my huge chest and cap?
I'm the FIFTH one to be counted.

Hello, my name is number SIX,
I like kicking my legs, way up in the air whilst touching my knees with my head!
I'm the SIXTH one to be counted.

Hello, my name is number SEVEN,
I'm the one with the pointed sharp head,
I'm the EIGHTH one to be counted.

Hello, my name is number EIGHT,
I have two round circles for a body and a head and an itsy-bitsy waist,
I'm the EIGHTH one to be counted.

I always look shy because I'm always looking down.

I don't look like anything really; what do you think?
But I'm bigger than ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, and NINE!

This would be a good poem for children. No real critique, just keep up the good work.

I like how you personify the numbers in this poem. Definitely a good way to get young children interested in counting. Just one thing to mention in the lines about number 7 you wrote "I'm the EIGHTH one to be counted." That's just a simple typo that's easy to fix. Otherwise this flows well and is a wonderful poem. Keep up the good work!
