Last night I made a discovery
A most horrifying one indeed
My 4th grade teacher is a witch
How could I have been deceived?

There have always been clues lying about
Like a black cat in the schoolroom
Or last Friday the thirteenth
When I swear saw her riding a broom

I must confess that all the other students
Had their suspicions about Miss Melancholy
A few had even disappeared mysteriously
Perhaps this knowledge was their biggest folly

Were they boiled in her cauldron
Along with some eye of newt
Or turned into bloodsucking bats
Perhaps this point is moot

But, I now know the truth
With my own two eyes, I saw her
Dressed in all black with a pointy hat
She is a witch, of that I am sure

You could have maintained the flow at the ending by changing "She is a witch, of that I am sure " into "She is a witch, I am sure of that".

that was well written and kept interest. One problem. What kind of little kid is gonna know the meaning of the word "moot"?

also, it might flow better if you said "a few had even dissappeared" instead of "a few had even dissappeared mysteriously"

Very good poem in the childrens catagory. I think young people will relate to this poem well and really love the imagination and images. Well done.

I wasn't a big fan, it didn't seem to have that jovial feel. The topics okay but it coulda been cuter. I'd keep trying or rewrite it. Perhaps make it a bit funnier, keep trying.
