Flying Kites
Kites fly high,
In the sky. Orange red blue, Yellow green too. "Hello cloud", They say. As the wind blows, They sway. Lonely souls, Up they go, Away from home, Never stay low. See how they fly, See how they flow. Once they go, They'll never come home.

Ah...what a delightful read! Such a enticing ditty that s free form the emotional baggage and arduous notions of some poetry. The flow was good, natural. I enjoyed that...and honestly is that what poetry is all about? Enjoyment? Nice job
Wait...I just noticed that this is a children's poem...my previous comment still stands...terrific job...!

Hey guys thanks for appreciating my work.. this is actually one of my first attempts at writing children poetry.. lol.. not sure if it works out right but your comments encourage me! Glad you guys like it. Do remember, we were once a child, and there's always a child in us.

Oh... oh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of my hands clapping! I like children's poems, because they're so simple and care-free they always make me smile! And hey, who doesn't read children's poems at age fifteen hm?

This is a lot of fun and I think children will love it. It really captures the childlike mentality. The rhyming flows well. This poem is easy to read. I think this is wonderful. Nice work!
