[Gurdit]

The following was written during a very boring class a couple of years ago:

The afternoon sun is brighter than an angel's smile, bathing the surroundings with sunlight. The entire place looks like an underwater city, swimming in transparent, golden water. Greenery marks the world outside my classroom and blue is the world's roof today, disturbed by wild sketches and stretches of a few well-chosen white clouds while a lone white building in the background shines in the reflected glory of Apollo. Unceasing chatter is within these four walls, and heated silence without. My eyes were on this empty canvas, and my hand held the means to my creativity... and now I have done justice to both.

The afternoon sun is brighter than the Devil's gleaming eyes, the surroundings baking in his breath of fire. The entire place is surrounded, shimmering, appearing as if life is being vapourized slowly over Hell's flames. The parched grass cries for water, and the sky is stark, pale blue, clouds hiding from Lucifer's temper today, while a lone white building, shimmering in the heat, appears to be cooking its inhabitants alive. Meaningless, rubbish talk of idle minds echoes off the walls within the classroom, and death-pale silence exists without. My eyes were on this empty page, and my hand held the controller of my slavery, my pen... and now that I have fed my burning need to write, I may live again for a while.

I like how you begin each one with the opposition of each other.

It's basically a description of the same thing under 2 different perspectives.

Wow, this is amazing. Can't believe I missed this. The two differing aspects, same descriptions (I loved the inclusion and dual use of the gods), and everything was just absurdly good). Gosh mate. I could go on and on...but I need to be in bed...but couldn't leave this piece...was amazing...really...your description put me to shame as does your brilliance. Bloody wicked mate.

Yeah, it's funny how inspiration can come out of nowhere.

This is really amazing. In the first part you've used all the words with positive connotations. The colours you've mentioned (green, white, blue...) have a calming effect.

In contrast, 'parched grass', 'death-pale silence', 'slavery' all these words have deeply negative meanings.

My point is that you've done an incredible job where selection of words is concerned.

Definitely one of your best works. Keep up the good work.

How I love the unconventional form, let me count the ways; 1. It’s different. 2. The coloring enhances the intensity conveyed to me, the individual reader. 3. To italicize the first rather than the latter, that was to give a ‘light feeling,’ illustration of heaven and the serious, ‘heavy toll’ of Hell’s punishment? 4. And there's more, but selection of vocabulary...Marvelous!

Well, whatever the reasons to be eccentric, possibly quirky...SPLENDID!
