haha. no. drill sarges are supposed to train you to your breaking point, not to make you quit. they want you to make it into the army, its like commision to them, sorta how cops get commision for pulling you over. They don't hate you; they make you do their jobs. they even assign privates to dispence punishment. They teach you the basics of the military, and thats it. They might insult you from time to time if you don't do something right, but that is partly human nature. they make other people punish you for youre mistakes, and reward you if you do something right

I see an odd spot in your story when the description isn't too clear. Such as te running scene, how long was he running in place? Half a day? All night then all day? Good action at the end. I'll try to write more when I have the time.
