Anna L. is getting to know his way around
Re: The Angel

I like it! One really doesn't expect him to be an actual angel, and that's kinda sweet. One thing I like about this story is that one wonders alot about backstory, but it doesn't really need it. Your descriptions are really good.
To whoever that was, maybe the demon thing is old, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Heck, romance is ancient, but there are still lots of good romance stories since Shakespeare. And there will be more. Some things are cliches because they work.
Keep up the good work, little gypsy!

Re: The Angel

Ditto to all that was said above. Also, if you continue or re-write some of this, think about what you want to do with your world. Right now the world seems like a sketch. Right now, I know that there is grass and a thunderstorm and trees and a ledge. Try to color and make this world more detailed.
Nice job so far.

Re: The Angel

Thanks for the ideas guys. I've never liked doing background because when I'm reading it in a story it can get tedious and confusing. I suppose sometimes it's necessary though.

On the subject of cliches, Anna, you make a good point. Shakespeare was a master, but we can all try to fill in his shoes.

Thumbs up Re: The Angel

A wonderful story, truly brilliant in conflicted emotions and active actions.

Quote:
The demon forced her to stand on unsteady legs. She wobbled and jerked, but the monster succeeded.
Elle fought for control of her arms. She grabbed hold of a soggy bush. The thorns cut into her palms. The demon ripped her away with her own legs.
Was this intended as a paragraph or two separate sentences?
