Re: 101 Floors of Nothingness
A fun story to read, always like the quick flow of dialogue. I loved the end, a good job for the most part, some of the back and forth dialogue at parts got confusing.

Just a quick thought...Anonymous #17, you shouldn't blatantly insult a (good) piece of writing, without justification for your comments. Then not have the guts to put down your name...weak

Re: 101 Floors of Nothingness
hahaha i love the brevity of the dialogue, it makes it really feel like the forced conversations we have in elevators. great twist ending, also. funny how the main character changes from calm and commanding to pathetic and desperate. very good skit, you have my respect.

Re: 101 Floors of Nothingness
There were a few parts were I thought the mail boy was talking when It was actually the HR girl, but other than that it was funny. I liked it, and what made it better is the fact that there are some weird people that do that. This story could have happened in real life, making it MORE fun to read. Great job! Keep up the great work!

Re: 101 Floors of Nothingness
This almost happened, now that I think about it, a few years ago. Didn't last that long though. Wasn't some story line, but really awkward moment in elevator. (Only 10 rooms though)

Re: 101 Floors of Nothingness
The "nothingness" was ominous; it hooked me. The buildup was good; it drew me in pretty quickly. The dialogue was realistic enough to keep me going; I don't mind the lack of description except that I didn't realize the HR individual was female. Unfortunately, the ending was unsatisfying. I was expecting Rod Serling and got...bleh, so what, another destructive immature jerk.
I see that a bunch of others liked it, so it is clearly a case of de gustibus. Last edited by ejenk21; 11-02-2007 at 01:58 AM. |

Nice one. I never got bored, and I always love characters that are completely insane/weird/idiotic. Anything entertaining and unpredictable. Well done.

That...was...amazing! Your dialogue was quick and witty and kept me guessing. It really was 101 floors of nothingness! lol great job!

Re: 101 Floors of Nothingness
Brilliant man, just brilliant. The only problem with this is sometimes after you skip a couple floors, it's tough to tell at first who's talking. But that's not too major.
Also, I loved the ending. Wasn't even expecting it. Great Job.
