A question often asked
by the many different
people that make up this
decadent, rotting world we all
reside in
I ask myself it oftentimes
wondering wordy thoughts
that sometimes answer
Most times don't
It can be placed upon
a child's lip, with little
understanding of even
why they are doing it
Merely the act of wanting
to know,
which often times is
snuffed out
Similar to the candle that's
burned too low
Nothing left to burn
No new wax coming
taking away what wasn't
ours in the first place
Exchanging it with a
lamp
It's easier to replace a bulb
The better question becoming:
Do I even care?
Only it's not better
that's okay though
We only asked
Why?
because we're looking
for a shiny gold star
on the poster of life
If you give us that
We'll walk away
Content
No longer wondering
No longer caring
Just happy to be enveloped
in the comatose euphoria
of acceptance and appreciation
It's only a lie
if you think it is

You've been writing a lot about these certain thoughts... Certainly interesting to follow along with.
I think this is something that would be a good read when you are extremely pissed off. But what I think was most captivating about this is that everybody has been there asking the same questions and thinking the same thoughts. The span of people who could relate to this is so wide. I think that's what I liked most about it.

Yeah, I don't veer too far from any topic I start writing about. I don't know, I'm not dissatisfied with my writing, but I'm not putting any real time into it either. I just sat down, and this is what came out, so as far as direction or focus, it's all just what spills out onto the page. I'm not particularly angry, just in general, unhappy. Maybe one day I will be happy, and my inkpot will sit untouched. Until then, I'll keep writing whatever comes out. I'm breaking my own rule on this, so, thanks for the comment, and to those that post after this. Here is a pre-emptive thank you as well.

Vail......You have always kinda morbidly memerized me with your thoughts and the way that you get them out into a form of poetry......I always know that when I start reading Im gonna get lost and found at the same time.......I like this one because it is simple and yet thought provoking at the same time

However you get there it always strikes me you do, get there. Potent piece which is nothing new. I wondered, boring, but why the shift in caps with no punct the occasional use was unusual. Statemental maybe or jsut you kicking off re rules v style v i am jsut writing which is my motto.english sucks lol enviable piece of work.
