I agree with castration, too. Hmm. Anyways, as for the poem. Simple, yet powerful. I, personally, don't like it. I can't. But I think that is half of your point and in that well done. The meter didn't falter when I read it and it is very powerful use of words.

Somehow I missed this one over the years, but DP expressed what I would have said. It is simple, yet for some there is a deep understanding of what this actually means and it becomes real to them....perhaps too real in some cases. The memories and emotions it releases are beyond painful, yet we numb ourselves to them for we know them all too well.

I always enjoy receiving feedback on my writings, no matter how old they are. Imagine my surprise after coming back from about a year of complete Hiatus to find a poem I wrote from nothing but absolute boredom...and it is the example poem for category. Truly an honor, even though I didn't find out until just yesterday XD
Glad to see you are still alive and kicking here stories
