taken another big bite
from your face.
Look at it!

And so pallid!
Like the arse of
threadbare jeans.

And your life!
If it were a sentence,
you'd be an interjection;
having no grammatical function whatsoever.

No doubt you'll continue
to pass your days, beating
on a door that's fixed
to nothing, and leading nowhere.
