The sun is a wafer, and ach-
romatic hot.
The lane is shimmering, like a lake
of staples. You are Sól - in my eyes
anyway. We hold hands, swapping
sweat beads, as lovers do.
The ageing chestnut trees lining the lane,
walk with us like faithful collies.
You love wildlife.
A dove you excitedly spot in the distance
disappears, before we've time to realise
it's a chicken-hawk. I drink a
Mars bar. Unzipping your
rucksack pocket, you offer me some
tepid tap water, from that plastic bottle
with the peeled-off label.
Precisely because things are inching along
so well, I do a really concrete thing
with an abstract concept - I trap determination
with my tongue, and speak those three words
that lovers sometimes expect one another to say -
'I screwed up!'

Hehehe.
It's a sad, sad reality, isn't it, that every woman does indeed expect her man to say that at some point of time?
I reckon though that men, though they expect their women to screw up sometimes, are wiser than to expect them to admit it.

We admit....tid. I have waited all my life for those three words..one day maybe, admttance is key and you lot grow all the time ay?lol

Underneath it all and we will see some I am sure..the romantic lurks but no porn this time colin lol

This was sweet with some lovely lines with the trees walking with them - funny and clever as usual..
