Wow. I felt as though I was back on the All-Army Rifle Team again (that was a nice, six-month SD assignment). Blocking out the chipped limestone they ridiculously placed on the firing line, which dug into my elbows; the heat from the barrel distorting the view of the front sight post and target through the rear aperture; the smell, like that of cordite, as it hung low in the air of a day absent of breezes; waiting to exhale, and exploit the natural pause. Man, I love that!
Thanks for the trip!

Re: 300m
No need for you to goto the zero range you are pulling some tight shot groups that are dead on center mass. Thanks.
Yeah I was having a conversation with my trigger finger the other day... it was whispering to me about how it has been so long since we sent a little hate and discontent down range. So I had the idea of jotting a few words from its point of view in a sort of anthropomorphic way. ![]()

Yeah, I've had that conversation with my neglected finger as well. One of these days we'll have to get together and empty some casings. Indiana or Texas? I know, you would choose Texas (but there are a few 600+ meter ranges around here too; nice and private).

Wow! This was eerie and elegant at the same time. The suspense action/imagery, the coldness then the heated outcome…SUPERB! This is (for my new word of the day…lol) IMPECCABLE WORK!
I give too the rating of 5/5! The release of our union ends, with a soft metallic click. (Wickedly BRILLIANT! ![]() ![]() )

Re: 300m
That was epic... just the way you described it, in all honesty I thought of the sniper in Saving Private Ryan, if that's not too weird. The way he handled himself before his shot, just reminded me of him. The way you described everything, was simply magnificent. Amazing job.
