Re: Storm of Demise
Oh I really like this one. I thought it was going to be all sappy in the beginning but it took some really interesting turns. The capitalized HE really fit well. Great imagery as well, and use of natural disasters. Look forward to seeing more!

Re: Storm of Demise
Thank you, both of you. I wrote this from personal experiences. Its not just women, but I must say they seem the major that go back to guys that just don't treat them with the respect they deserve.
I've watched many a girls, who go into a relationship naive, get used and tossed aside... until the guy decides he wants something from the girl again, and then some how, he lures the girl back to him. HOW THE HELL DO THEY DO THAT!?! |

Thanks for adding the meaning behind that, it is much more powerful to me now!

Re: Storm of Demise
Yea, I'm not for doing that to a girl, but it’s very frustrating to see it happen. I've been friends with and even had crushes on girls that let guys treat them no better than a Kleenex, in the all meanings of that analogy. Yet, they go back, sometimes more than once.... there is no way any one is worth that.

Re: Storm of Demise
No, there is no way anyone is like that. Best thing you can do for someone stuck in that type of situation is let them know how amazing they truly are. Generally it is low self-esteem and self-worth that keep them there. Even that does not always work though, and I fear there is nothing more you can do, just have to let them realize on their own.
You did see the movie Forest Gump didn't you? Perfect example of a beautiful, smart and talented woman who spent her life dating assholes until she found out she was dying... and then went back to the sweet one.

Re: Storm of Demise
Yep, ole Forest, and true enough. Sometimes it takes a world alterating event to make them open their eyes.
It's just sad, it takes so long sometimes. I guess you live and learn. |
