Nice metaphor for rain here, even without the other references.

Indeed they have. I could tell you some spooky stories about her, even though I'm not given to superstitions. She was the only person who ever gave me reason to question that claim. She often got teased for being a witch; she had a look and a way about her and often did little things to perpetuate the mystique. In return, she truly thought I was the Devil; I saw the unmistakable look in her eyes the night she whispered it to me. In retrospect, we were simply suffering the delirium of unrequited lust accompanied by other events which caused a perfect storm of emotional madness. Opposing sides of the same coin, were we; a magnet, once broken, the two halves repelling each other unless one turned.
Damn, I could go on and on. Maybe I should write something about it.
