One tear falls
for each moment
spent without you;
each sigh fills
the silence in the room.
I prefer to sleep,
for in my dreams
I am still holding you.
Instead Life goes on,
the coffee brews,
the clock chimes.

Oh what I would give
just to look into your eyes.
Spring came and went
with wilted flowers,
and the leaves turn and fall.
Nothing changes
but the seasons,
for love has
no rhyme or reason,
just one tear falls.

I love ur observations of the mundanity amidst the heartbreak..they r sometimes synonomous.

Had a thought about ur style...if u removed one word or placed it on the lne above you could have a 'type'where the poem beginswith the same motif or words ...One tear falls...not sure what its called though there so many and i am frail..lol

Two comments...what the!? I really like this one, and as Anita has already said, I love it how you point out the mundane in the middle of a heart break, it makes it more real...applying your life to things around you, and yet it not being the same...Geez louise, if i hadnt read your stuff before im going to now, you have a great way with words, that makes things seem to relate alot more.

I can really feel your pain when i read this, amazing imagry. When i read it i could see the spots of water staining the paper in which this poem is written, blurring the words. Really great portrayal of emotion.
