Re: Freefall?
Reading this I went through a load of different feelings, first fear, the falling, the broken heart, and later that trick we play where we act like we don't care but the end was the best part for me... the always on the ground bit, don't know but it just fit perfectly. Anyhow, shorter lines were different, and punctuation too! I enjoyed the choppy feel of this, the single word 'love'. Almost like a strain of thought plucked and recorded. Wonderful.

Psychedelic!
You really know how to illustrate a trippy ride of whirlwind emotions. But when all screams (from the bottom of one’s lungs) prying of squinted eyes (watering with fears)…when there’s nothing but the sweet relief of a firming end…what harmonious peace for the mind and so too the frozen body. (Is this rambling? My apologies.) I HATE heights so I avoid all forms, but of this literal high…I would still choose to stand on solid ground looking up at the poor sucker who has the fear filling heart of erratic emotions. WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL!

Re: Freefall?
I've been remiss in keeping up with your poems; I always try to get right to them.
I love the feel of this, the almost desperate attempt to say your piece before you bottom out - and then the soft touchdown. Nice falling metaphors, with a touch of tongue-in-cheek humor, but poignant at the same time. As Bri mentioned, I like the staccato feel of this. A man fell from a 20th story window. As he whizzed past each floor, he was heard to say, "So far, so good..."
