Cliches

There have been so many cliches
both said and then written
Like 'there's more fish in the sea'
and 'you're only once bitten'
'Everything only makes you stronger'
but 'leaves you twice shy'
They can tell you what happens
with no reason why
They say "get back on that horse
and ride it again"
But they dont tell you how,
maybe this 'fence will not mend'
'Time heals all wounds'
'only making us stronger'
'We want what we cant have'
and 'watching the clock makes time longer'
I have heard it before
so dont say it again
They are all truths
but what I need is a friend
If you cant tell me how
I dont wanna know
Your judgement has slayed me
so now you must go.

Re: Cliches

They often seem to be a way of saying 'that's how things are, so accept them, don't question...'
