My mirror, your heart
Streaking glints set us apart
Running through them
are just remnants of its settling
dew, spread eagled in the centre,
its grasping fingers clutching anew
the image it now holds within.

Your reflection, new start,
Hindsight glimmers with surface art,
Polished, all of its dimensions
remind us there is hope in here
with no room for false images
and glass words or wounds
when the mirror breaks.

Lu, wow. The mirror is an overused metaphor but you added your own touch to it, and I love it. Every word looks beautiful in its position. You always leave me spellbound with your poetry and this is no exception. I specially like the last stanza, great last line. Powerful enough to stay with me even after I have navigated away from this page. Great work.
