Such warmth you possess in a fingertips’ caress,
Holding my courage for me, a courage plainly at rest,
Gentle longing within is held in the dim,
Of secret wants and sheer naked truths,
Only the light of a much greater torch,
The admiration for such a warm and tender man,
Makes a halo for my internal yearnings
And lets them shine so I can see your face.

Such strength and compassion in a soul’s undress,
Self possessed and postured, no ease of unrest,
Gentle strokes of reassurance hiding in the dim
Of darkened passion’s night of hope,
Are felt and ignited by a greater force,
The love for such a warm and graceful man,
That burns deeply and intensely
And incinerates the ghosts so I can kiss your face.

Such urgent words when called won’t come,
They wander alone now, bereft of tongue,
Gentle feelings flood the parchment’s dim,
Dry and coarse surface until softened
By the silent words of mind and heart,
The inexhaustible need for such a man,
Will write what my words cannot hope to say
And make the pages turn when we at last embrace.

Aw, Lu - that's "purty!" ^_^ Very nice; I like the cycling of love and passion and light and warmth (and even burning) that threads through this poem. A recurring theme. Nice and romantic, and, dare I say, epic?

I am not certain what the proper term or phrase of the first two sentences (repetitive action/repetitive emotion), but I must say…BRAVO! You, your exquisite most enthralling vocabulary brings the reader(s) right in.

I've been meaning to comment on this ever since you put it up but I couldn't find the right words. You, Anita, are amazing... and so is your poetry. Couldn't comment because I didn't know what to say earlier, and I don't know what to say now either. Just thought I should let you know that I read this and enjoyed it immensely. I like the parallel structure of all the stanzas. And your expressions... the way you have written this... word selection and everything else is top-notch. This is a true romance. Love it.
