"The Crimson light"

(Verse 1)

Have you ever seen, the crimson light, shining through the neon sky?
It seems to come, easily, causing a blind edge shot straight from the sea.
And if you come across, the fight between, the dark and me, then will,
You believe the truth, entwined in thee, or will you deny me she said,

(chorus)
When the battles done and the swords are crossed,
You will find the lighthouse in the dark.
It will shine on the hills,
Touching all it wields,
And then it kills...many.
(piano plays)

(Verse 2)

But if the light falls to the ground, will you, be around?
Or will you cast unexpected sins, but then, can you explain?
How many times have we, deserted me,
And how many lives fell into the weeping well, causing scriptures to sail,
Wait listen now, and don't you fail...

(chorus)
When the battles done and the swords are crossed,
You will find the lighthouse in the dark.
It will shine on the hills,
Touching all it wields,
And then it kills...sweeping you off your feet...

(Verse 3)

If you feel alone and can't find your own way home,
Look to the sky to see the light, and it will find,
The missing time, for those attentive, sounding a chime,
But if the night blinds you and you can't fight your own way through,
follow the sight of the crimson light...

Thumbs up Re: "The Crimson light"

I think you mean…
Quote:
When the battle’s (is) done…
I think you should take out ‘but then,’…Or will you cast unexpected sins, can you explain?

How can he and she ‘desert’ him? Possibly…
Quote:
How many times have you deserted me
Possibly…
Quote:
If you feel alone and can’t find your way home,
Then look to the sky and see the light, you will find the way (But then this throws off your rhyme) You might just want to look it over again.
A very interesting ballad? I am not certain of this word, but this is also my very first, so please bear* with me. I enjoyed the imagery, but really what caught my attention, my sight was most definitely The Crimson Light. Writing a song is not just about finding rhyming ending is it?

I will rate 3/5!

Re: "The Crimson light"

A song needs rhyming more than poetry does, but also, I think, it doesnt in some forms. "But then," to me does not need to be taken out because it rhmes with sins and connects it to can you explain.

To me, by saying " how many times have we," we stands for the character singing and everyone else. They abandoned him, but in reality, he also abandoned himself.

On the last part it is telling to look to the sky in order to see it. Kind of like an instruction manual. Look and you'll see it, i just like the way it states it.
