In a soft light

The rain softly splatters

In the dark of the night

With nothing the matter

Under the streetlamp

The moon shining gently

The butterfly dances silently

Life set on one mode

Eat and sleep

Run and hide

Dodging the jeep

Staying alive

No conscious thought

Of money or cars

Everything so simple

Everything so right

The rain softly splatters

In a soft light
