Hope
Once upon a lonely path
I came upon a broken soul Weary, torn, devoid of love Hollow eyes, burning cold. Blind to life's virtue He spat at the earth Cursing creation For his very birth "Mercy!" he cried His voice bleeding pain Sneering derision For the world of the sane "For mercy I beg you! Or at least for release" I've been such a fool Only Death will bring peace." "What hope is there?" He cried out in sorrow, What hope is there," For a tearless tomorrow?" I looked at him then, His soul's razor edge "Unless you have Hope, You may as well die dark." Last edited by DarkPower; 27-04-2005 at 09:38 AM. |
