Surely, not your only muse. I think you you draw muses from a well. You are amazingly resourceful at finding inspiration. Overflowing, in fact, as it seems to pour forth from you, pell mell in a hurried style that seems organic and green like life itself. It fairly blooms.

Thanks Junior - means a lot mate. I love your comments, and thanks, there are really is a endless suplly of inspiartion...but when ti gets cold, that's all I seem to write about. Winter will be worse. Haha. Thanks man.

I have to say I was thinking the same thing as James, it surely is not your only inspiration. This was well done though, and you did that whole little personification you are so good at... and I saw Autumn as a woman, one you could not hold... and you trapped within her, hanging on as winter came in.

Chris, tell me, what doesn’t inspire you?
This is terrific. Great personification. I loved the reference to the glacier. ‘She’s killed off tree by tree’. A common observation which we always take for granted, yet you have put it forth so beautifully. I love your rhymes. And the last part is wonderful. Powerful ending, very well executed. Love it! |
