[Eadha Deora]

On rainy days wet and chill
I sit upon the windowsill
and listen to the rain beat
a patter-dance of small feet.
The floods engulf the house-lane,
and brooks run down the window-pane.
Ducks from Pond in wet feathers
waddle in their favorite weather.
The flowers bend for water-weight,
and puddles pool around the gate.
I like it when the world bathes
and sun is covered by rain-wraiths:
Those heavy clouds of grey slate.
Yes, rainy days I do not hate,
for I am warm, dry entire
as I lounge before blazing fire,
laughing at the world outside
with its grey flowing water tide.
The earth at peace; I at rest.
This be the weather I like best.

Every now and then I read a poem on here that strikes a chord in my inner being and crazy enough, a few of them have been written by you. Very nice, I sincerely enjoyed it.

hehee . . . *blushes and curtsies* thank you very much. I wrote this poem on a rainy day . . . lol . . . only, I was WISHING I could be at home reading, all nice and warm. I was in class. grrrr. The buildings are always too cold or too hot and . . . ok. I'm not going to complain. lol--thank Godde I'm graduating this year. Off to college for me! to study law, psychology, philosophy, religion, and languages! THAT will be a blast. No more horrid calculus . . . now I'm babbling. sorry . . . and thanks again.
