Take a look around the world
all the things that we've destroyed
We've pilaged and we've plundered
we've tinkered and we've toyed
Imagine what it must have been like
to be the first person to see Niagra Falls
Or to stumble upon the pyramids
before we tainted their hallowed halls
What about the canyon
so majestic in its sight
or to wake up on the prairie
and see dawns early light
Now if you want to see these
there are fees and there are rules
Everythings incorporated
and blemished by the fools
The world has 10,000 hotels
and they are building ever more
Defacing all the beauty
that God originally had in store
Now I am not a pioneer
but I would love to live that way
With the beauty of this planet
greeting me each day

Just me rambling on.....I know its different but its a subject that strikes a chord with me and because I get so worked up the words dont always come out right

The words seem fine, from the heart which is all that matters. eloquently put and a valid point made at the same time. I enjoyed it.

you keep writing my thoughts down (and doing them justice)!!! On my island in spain (Ibiza) the money hungry government has just commisioned twelve 'tourist villages' to be built in the most beautiful parts of the island! I hate it! I still would even if I was a bloody tourist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad that yall liked it.....That is too bad lostsnail......Things like that just iritate me to no end....I want to move to the southern tip of South America called "Terra Del Fuego".....It is one of the beautiful parts of the world and its largely untouched......All I ask is that leave a place for us to admire the beauty like they were able to do centuries ago.....There I go babbling again

Ok I feel bad, this is my first time reading it. about 4 days after it was actually posted. I started reading it once but it didnt quite catch me. but then I made myself read it today and I enjoyed it. After I got past the first 4 lines it was great.

Its funnt because alot of my poems that you dont care too much for are the ones that others pick a topic and I write it, it doesnt come from within me......But when it does you notice and usually like it......However, sometimes even some of those start a little borish and then progress......and you let me know and I respect that very much
