Summer rain, into a meadow falls a gathering pool
creating ripples that encompass the day
beyond the house of cardinals, behind the green forest church,
where the mantises pray

Serene foilage where the mist rises, inspirational moment
pristine undiscovered wilderness,
primordial mindset
awash in the summer rain

Awakens the senses of the climbing vines
and calls the wild flowers to growing
so eloquent and abstract in their colorful knowing
while thirstily the parched earth drinks
as the rain almost silent falls to the ground

Robins tug worms from thier elaborate tunnels
a back porch swing withered, sways empty, in a long awaited breeze
bird bath running over, well being and serenity trickles down,
with the summer rain
