Raindrop from the sky falling on the Earth
A mournful, dreary day to say the least
No roaring, blazing fire at the hearth
No food to serve, willingly, for the feast

Raindrop, why must you wash happy away
No sunshine to warm my face looking up
Out my window, a bleak and dreary day
No sunshine to leak in and warm me up

Sitting inside, wishing the day away
To bed I turn, no reason to have joy
Hoping for sunshine on another day
No task, important, for me to employ

Raindrop, you are a torment to mankind
But, Raindrop, it is not you that I mind

Oh i like this one eva... well written and nice twist at the end...I thought at first i didnt like the flow but when i re-read it it all fit together nicely...well done

i love the rain. it's funny, i wrote this in algebra, and our warm-up in English was about rain.

Not bad. The ending was solid, and what was what kept the poem on the favorable side of that line that divides 'whatever' and 'not too shabby '.

this is an impacting piece... a very sly one... i like the technique where you distract the reader, having him/her totally focused on the rain, actually nodding along agreeing that yes the rain can be a hassle at times, maybe even empathizing with you... only to find out you are pissed off at something else (prolly ur english teacher or a boyfriend? lolll)... nice one!
