Ryankia, thank you. You make an interesting distinction by the way. I think 'hanged' is used whenever it implies a suspended form of execution, whether it be suspension by the neck, by way of crucifixion, or whatever, and whether singular or plural. The original poem, of which this is a parody, also uses the past participle of the verb 'to hang' in this way. 'Hung', on the other hand (also a past participle of the said verb) I take to mean suspended otherwise. For example I might say 'I hung the washing on the line'. This latter use has largely benign connotations for me.

My only issue is 'hanged' just has a horrid ring to it here. Like an poorly tuned piano.
