the crow of a rooster
dew drops falling
splattering

all animate living breathing things saying wake up!

smells of Summer premeates the air

a drop of rain on a butterfly's wing
that dripped on the tip of a buttercup's lip
she graciously hiccuped
a full throated thanks
with copious promises come next Summer

well watered fields crop that yield
bounteous harvest to calm our fears

a babe running through pastured fields
blades of grass tween tickly little toes
laughter and glee at all she see
A mom swipes at a lonely bee
neath the Adler tree

is the evening sun bowing to twilight's glory
as the moon rose to hear my story
I, stretched my soul on a bale of hay
The melodious song of the nightingale
ended my day

darkness calling the wispy reluctant fireflies
the slumber of my cat
the coo of an owl
the bark of my dog
a hug from my pop
a kiss from my mom
the twinkle of my star
a smile on my face
All my friends are here
cuddled... in my dreams
