[Eadha Deora]

I weep for the world sometimes,
knowing that in those tears of divine desire
for each longing face
and all the out-reached hands,
my own inner cup is opened
wide,
thirsty for the rain of remembrance.

I laugh for the earth as well,
feeling her careless, perfect joy
that all is unfolding
exactly as it should,
delicately strong like a rising lark
who bursts into song at the sun's
warmth,
light on the rays of renewal.

And maybe,
in this simplicity
of loving the universe,
then maybe,
I'll learn implicitly
to love my entire soul.

There are tears enough
and peace enough
to be the bread and water
of a thousand hungry minds
eager, seeking the global answer
of what it means
to be;
to be a human;
to be a soul living humanely.

Perhaps, in time,
I will be content to find myself
in the emptiness of the mind.

np ... the last line of this poem was actually given to me by my poet-friend, because i had a really lame line that ruined it all. Ack. I have helped him with his poetry before, and he helped today! He calls himself a "celtic buddhist" though so I'm not surprised he gave me a line on "emptiness of the mind" hahahaha. Fits though perfectly with what I was trying to say about Self and so forth.

His and my poetry can be a lot alike sometimes, but then again we read the same authors and discuss them, and we talk about philosophy and religion and things like that all the time. I'm very proud of him though because I've known him since before he ever started getting popular, when he was just starting to write what he considers "proper" poems.

lol! I had an e-consort at one time .. sort of, kind of in a round about way.
I have a soul-lover and a fiance. Believe me, hard to balance the two and a shame that they both dont come in one package. But I am very happy for now. And I'm glad life changes and goes different places. Who knows with whom I'll end up .. as long as I land on my feet!
