Brilliant metaphor, parallels a lot of things... emotions as extreme as the addiction and withdrawls from heroin and/or morphine. With that said...

I loved the freeform and flow of this. The sounds your meshed in really created to the haunting images. "my drug that beckons" the ownership is perfect, very true to a user, an addict... and the beckoning, well yes. Well captured.

The lines that stand alone were also well done. Pleas, begging to get out of the cycle.

Anyways, I think you carried this across wonderfully... very different style from you and you wear it well.

Geez, Sy. I cannot believe that this hasn't seen more reviews. This is the best I've seen from you. Of course I am in love with the topic of addiction.. and then to throw drugs into the mix I can only relate a million times better. But aside from my obvious bias, this really was beautifully constructed.

I'm a big fan of your form in this one. You stayed completely original with this.. I mean as original as you can be when discussing addiction and drugs... Your word selection was intelligently selected... and you really blew me away with this one. And you swore... and it fit well... And it was my favorite line... Meh.. I'm full of praise on this one. Thanks for sharing.

Agreed with the previous reviews, the form is new, impactful and bold. The conflicting emotions were well illustrated.

I will not ask about the punctuation of Herion or Morphine, because I am certain that it gives greater intensity to the
love and hate emotions experienced during “Addiction.” (LOL)

Something keeps drawing me back to this one. Probably its brilliance; one of the best you've ever done - and you've written a lot of good 'uns. Not a pleasant topic, but, oh, so nicely done, honny. Excellent!
