[Venomous Vixen]

We’ve come to this peak
both trudged the incline,
somehow through the climb-
You went your way
And I found mine.

Now standing atop
looking down into the unknown,
I set one set of footprints
you can’t follow anymore-
For they are mine
and mine alone.

How did we get here?
When did my hand lose yours?
Standing, reflecting the journey,
I can’t seem to find a reason
why we ever thought,
that the path we sought
was one in the same,
For it was naught.

I am a pale blue,
a blend on the horizon,
a drop of Spring’s dew,
glazed on freshly bloomed leaves-
And you are Fire’s tongue,
hissing and licking the life,
following all that Man’s done,
ruined at your wake,
as I fall from the leaves you take.

And this peak is not strong enough,
to hold the things we’ve become-
Heads butting the gentle point
of Earth and sky,
of faith and lies,
and somewhere in the climb
you went your way
and I went mine-
And you can’t follow these prints
for your thoughts have been clipped,
as I stand here on the brink,
in ignorance, you sail your ship.

Monumental in thoguhts and words..but also the fact mulitple and ahve found another can be written or drawn from this..from enviornemnt to people to couples to just life, our planet...so epic this is. bri nciely done!
