It’s like waiting -
where worry
turns to sour doubt
in the back
of your mind,
and stale smoke
lingers abound
dancing around
what no one will admit.
This deafening silence
without a voice,
I scream
defiance,
and the pills drown…
Here I am again
another day before me,
a few more stolen moments
of sanity
before I choke down
the colors
that erase
this very dying day,
and you hate
when I stumble
and try
to give up.

Harrowing; like a sharp stick in the eye. The despair hangs heavy, and there is this teetering on the edge of insanity vibe that drives this, and gives it urgency. Nice job on the poetry, but I hope real life isn't this hectic for you.

I love this. The flow and rhythm is completely in tune with the words in its wild and frantic race. Bravo I say. I really can't see anything to fix with it. It's simply just amazing. It sounds like it could be a really good song with a couple of word tweaks throughout it. You deserve a pat on the back. *Pats her on the back*
