This snow's astounding, winters whiteness
cautiously calls to me, beckoning brightness.
Call me crazy, willful witness
blissful blasphemy, phonetic fitness
righteous ramble to the top;
perfect preamble for precious prop.

Follow me, I'll show to you, the chronicles of past mistakes
Listen now, to roaring wake, rushing blood, arterial aches

Broken twice, though dark clouds lifted- ground shook, these footings shifted-
hard to know just where I stood; in the failures of the gifted

Those causes that I fought for, are all but lost on me today
And I'll digest your point of view, but it's not for you to say
Sunny days will surely follow, once you chase the clouds away...

But every time our eyes meet, my heart races- I get the shakes.
That is why I have to hide every time the veil is lifted
for I'm shivering beneath- and I can't take the light of day...

Breathtaking , every single one of them...not to mention your shining enthusiasm and love for this and on that alone I commend you. It's also great to see a connected dsiplay of someone's gift...we know what you are capable of but lose, as i have just found, in viewing 'installments' of your work your all round genius..capability and potential.

I see you have a pantoum. I tried to pull one but couldn't come up with anything good...

Have you tried a Clerihew yet? I think it would be most interesting

the Clerihew's look funny as hell- no I haven't tried yet. Maybe I'll try that one tonight.

pantoum is real hard, but if you just plod through it and follow the form- by the end the poem pretty much writes itself. It did take me a while though to come up with the first stanza. Give it another shot man!

I love this collection idea.... which I've been reading but haven't responded til now. Keep them coming... I'm enjoying the different flavors brought forward here. All of them have been a joy to read.

love all of them ... the only one that seemed a bit awkward was the Pantoum. The Kyrielle was a bit see-sawed as well ... I just wish I could give better advice/insight, but right now my brain is only aesthetically responding and can't quite articulate the more technical side of things!

Favorites which I thought were best done (including difficulty) were the Trois-par-Huit (beautiful and sensual!!!) .. and also the Pleiades one. I also saw in the Butterfly one, a bit ot philosophical near-Buddhist thought!

Looking forward to reading more! You could make whole sets of these ... or even do something special like make them all with the same theme, but perhaps different aspects of a story, or different viewpoints, etc etc. Could be a huge backdrop form.

Excellent! You've done some outstanding work here. Whenever I write a poem I try to find a new style to do it in. I like the fact that you're running them all on one post.

I love the Kyrielle, it's one of my favorite forms. I usualy write iit in hymn form, it just seems to come easier for me, though the one you have is very good.
