Wide eyes opened in shock
Disbelief courses through his mind
Can't come to bring himself to talk
This came so suddenly, it has him in a bind

Stage 2... Anger
His sanity has slowly crept away
Someone... someone has to pay
Adrenaline rushing through his veins
This frustration, he can't tame

Stage 3... Bargaining
He gets down on his knees
Begging for anything to change this
"Take me," he pleads
For it is her, who is missed

Stage 4... Depression
Tears gather in his eyes
A desolate feeling he feels creeping in his guts
Feels like every bit of him has died
Tears stream down his cheeks, as his eyes close shut

Stage 5... Acceptance
Realization, it may have been her time
Relaxes him in a way he can smile again
Clarification that she went happily is all he needed
Everything will be ok... Everything will be alright
