Mirrors & Hearts

If a mirror
Breaks now
All of us
Could hear

But if a heart
Breaks now
None of us
Could hear

I can't help asking myself
Why the suffering of
A broken heart
Is always silent.

Re: Mirrors & Hearts

I like this piece. It is simple and conveys a good concept.

There are a couple things which I feel is lacking here which would really help this piece stand out.

1) Commas. Though not always necessary, I felt the way you presented this piece could be helped with commas.

I.E. - "If a mirror
Breaks now,
All of us
Could hear"

2) " I can't help asking myself" - I think "I can't help but ask myself" sounds a bit better in this case.

Just those couple of things and it looks great!

Subtle, simple, and lovely. I'm afraid Ryankia has already pointed out most of my comments (I agree, commas would help), so I'll just say how much I enjoyed it. Thanks for writing!

Ahw. I really love this poem!

It poses such a beautiful question, and it's so beautifully sad.

I really loved reading it.

At first I didn't like the repetition, but now that I look back, I do.

Really great job!

Very simple, yet beautiful at the same time!

I agree that it would look better with punctuation, though.

Really good job!

[I'm Taylor, by the way. I'm new here, though I write for a few other writing sites and have written & reviewed fpr a couple of years ]
