A lone song reverberates,
bouncing from a caged cell
Eternal dwelling of solitary sound.
From blood red feathered cheeks
escape pleas for a soul
To share
Her song

He answers briskly cracking in tune,
a note to match her lovely call,
Breaking barriers of years passed
creating a melody so sweet,
Everything stands still
They share
Their song…

Just the bouncing in a cage stuck me as odd as well as the above comment. Not sap but lacks briness if u like, now i nearly merged two posts from another poem and said this has the audacity and 'words/ideas u spoiled us with. so i blame u either way, I like ur idea and i know you can make it lovelier or more powerful even if they r birds r us.

Amatuer Alert!!! Before I go to Advance, I better graduate from Amatuer.

This is an aweome poem. I loved it. I didn't really see anything wrong with it.

Now, I like the lay-out of the poem, it being centred and all. I was once told, "It's important to choose your lay-out of the poem. If it were laid on the right, you would probably leave it the moment you saw it. Look at this for exacmple, doesn't it look like wings?" The title of the poem had wings in them.

Right. Formatting. Those verse kinda look like cages, but not quite. In the first verse, you can actually see a bird inside!

Thank you hun. Yes, layouts are important, truly. There are many who detest center alignment and colored text but I think in the right setting it really adds to a piece and in this modern day of poetry I think it's OK to deviate from the original bounds it once held.

Reading this now, well, it could use some work. *shakes head* but the fact you enjoyed makes it worth while
