You ask me how I live my life

It is to me complete control
Over what I do and make

Against the toxins that they take

A warrior for my purity

My X’s are my armor
My shield and my sword
I become a champion
Defending my reward

The path ahead is cold and lonely
But I’m a man of stone
For the strongest in this vicious world
Is he who stands alone

This life is not an easy one
Never painless to get by
But at the bottom of a bottle
My answers do not lie

So offer me your poisons
Your shots, your drags, your rips
Offer me seduction
With forked tongue through pursed lips

Offer me what takes away
All that I have achieved
And watch me point and laugh
Then turn around and leave

And spare me all your wisdom
On how to stay alive
For we will see whose lungs still breathe
When I am forty-five

Very enjoyable read, nice flow and meaning behind it all. I am going to need to see some activity on the boards before I can get this one up for you though. Actually, looking forward to seeing some more submissions from you as well. Where have you been hiding?

been really busy, you know. college aps, AP classes, no time left for fun anymore. my xbox is collecting dust (which will be convenient for when we study dust particles in microbio next month...)

Thanks a lot. i put a lot of work on this one. in fact, i would get it as a tattoo if it werent so damn long...

but this is the most honest piece ive ever written. it completely encompasses me and what i believe. thanks a lot for reading it with an open mind and respect.
