Sodom, sodomized
I love that she looked back,
to see Sodom, sodomized,
it’s so human to look over your shoulder,
to test threat carried through,
of the world in brimstone, a-smoulder,
I love that He forbade it,
like a Father bids a child,
after instilling and innate curiosity,
just to hear you beg, defiled,
“I’m sorry. Please forgive me Father.”
But as the fire roared to them,
“It was earned,”
but she looked back,
as if to question fault,
thus, she was turned,
at the Devil’s table,
to a pillar of salt.
