You seem shaken-
Eyes narrowed, lips tight,
hands clenched, knuckles white.

Your voice stirs-
trapped inside your throbbing head,
trying to take in what I just said.

You're slow to respond,
trying to make everything fit,
dumbfounded that a challenge came from a pair of tits.

That's all you see,
are these breasts I carry,
thinking there's more, is just way too scary.

Patriarchy was slipping away,
thanks to women who blazed the trail,
demanding rights from the almighty male.

But then time passed,
and we got a few jobs with better pay,
and slowly but surely, our fury slipped away.

Years later,
the man is still ruling from his throne,
mandating laws on my body and my home.

But I just broke a rule,
I spoke my thoughts way out loud,
and slowly around me women have begun to crowd.

Yes, we've woken up,
and we're picking up our signs,
we refuse to live as objects of your grand design.

So sir, listen up-
You had better think of something to say-
because us women have decided we're taking back this day.

Ah, see, now this is exactly what I missed. You words make me feel empowered, and deliver a strong and clear message. Loved that nice little smack of reality about the tits and all men see... more often than not it is sadly true. You had a great form going as well, there were a few places you could have cut a syllable or added but overall good flow and great piece! I want more

Thanks Chris. I've missed your input on it. It's not great, but it's a stepping stone to getting me flowing again...I've got something in the works now, I'm pretty excited about, but I may end up needing your help with it. In relation to content, it kind of felt overall a bit cliche man-hating, but when i though about it more, it's perfectly valid (not sayin that it needs my validation!) a deifnitely still evident in society.

At the top of every heirarchy there's always a man.
He's always white.
He's always has incredible wealth.
He's always heterosexual.
