Re: Broken Candles
This is a really Awsomly discriptive poem. I love the metaphone, although, like much of poetry, i dont understand it all. But the wax that symbolizes firey knowlege and how its almost a barganing chip for a drug or a high is a really cool concept. Interesting stuff sean.

Re: Broken Candles
Wow. I don't think I've read much of your work, but if they compare this poem, I am really missing out. Your use of metephor creates a vivid image that truly brings your words to life and creates a wonderful mood. Nice work man.

Re: Broken Candles
Oh WOW Sean, this is just incredible... geez! The candle turned metephor at the beginning really hooked me, and then "I swap wisdom for dime bags and papers" just simply brilliant... and then the end... perfect. I noticed something here that I have not seen before, you held nothing back. This one was like a tiny glimpse into your soul and I loved that... great work!

Re: Broken Candles
wow I'm shocked!
Jess: don't feel too bad- I don't even understand all of it lol Tim: Quite a set on compliments man- I thank you. haha yeah must have been weird reading and skyping at the same time. Venus: Thank you kindly! Bri: Thanks for pressing for the stream of consciousness folder!! I think you are right; I almost saw this as a journal entry so it allowed me to open up a bit more I think; instead of over-preparing my words. Corneac: shoddy and miscalculated!?! You're crazy man! I'm not joking at all when I say I've learned a great deal from your style of writing. Your words have influenced me as a writer in many subtle ways; and I think this poem is a good example of that. Thanks for the compliments man! |

Previously, I wrote, ‘ingenious, very original.’ This remains true. But now I can add a rating 4 of 5.
