This holy season
Bombs, bullets are exploding
Such wonder is this.
**
Dying, crying eyes
Soldiers, rolling tanks, draw near
Infidels seek sympathy.
**
Frightened little boy,
Clasp, dispensed Holy Bible
Where is his Father?
**
White Tiger Lilies
Desiccated black petals
Where is his Father?
**
Scarlet soldiers march
Hear Torricelli’s Trumpet
Infidels are falling.
**
Bellowing fire spews
A siren of gossamer, sings
Clasping her bouquet.
**
Alluring blank orbs
Raven curls sweep pale shoulders
Temptress in guise?
**
White Tiger Lilies
Desiccated black petals
The Bible, crashes.
**
White Tiger Lilies
Desiccated black petals
Tainted tribute, falls.
Interesting what going by just inspiration will lead to. A very interesting piece that I'm still digesting. (Sorry... bit late and am tired- but it lacked comments so I thought I'd drop a line )
No worries at all my Lady, Syrah. I’m just relieved and most happy that this entry actually qualifies as something not necessarily ‘going against the grain.’ I think I screwed myself with my TotM #14 -Father Christmas submission. I thought ‘Father Christmas’ was a fair game idea. It wasn’t until later that the realization, the connection had to be with Santa Clause (I smack my forehead-against the wall). Oh, well, ‘what’s done is done’ is something too that ‘they’ say (lol)…
Thank You very, very, very much for the read and compliment(s). And I hope to see/read ur entry too for the XMas Special?
